Can a NYC self-storage facility end a rental without giving a reason?
Quick answer
No. NYC law makes it unlawful for a self-storage facility to terminate an occupant without giving an explanation for the termination. The explanation must be in writing, sent by the method the tenant chose, in English and any other language you advertise in, and logged and kept for three years. It applies to agreements signed since the law took effect.
